Yes, they have lived up to their title of man's best friend: what else can be said.  Most of us have all grown up with dogs, either as a member of our families or a lonely stray just exploring the neighborhood.  The companionship and absolute loyalty that can be found in a dog is second to none in the animal kingdom.  I was just thinking the other day, as my Australian Shepard kept nudging my hand to play, I am so grateful to have this friendly annoyance.  I am sure that most anyone reading this can relate to this feeling.
